Bianco Sublime, A charming Giudecca Apartment of Contemporary Design

The apartment is located on the Giudecca Island, in an exceptional panoramic position overlooking the Giudecca Canal, between the 16th century Church of the Zitelle and the Church of the Redentore, a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio. The view is splendid and the windows provide the perfect frame to admire the area from the Magazzini del Sale to the Doge’s Palace, passing by the Church of S. Maria della Salute, Punta della Dogana and the State Mint.

The apartment is located on the second floor in one of the typical pre-nineteenth-century granaries/warehouse of the Serenissima Republic and is composed of a large living room with kitchen, dining table and living room. The central corridor leads to the guest bedroom, a first bathroom with shower, and the master bedroom with its own walk-in wardrobe and private bathroom, also with shower.

All the furniture is bespoke and is characterised by the use of birch marine plywood, left bare on the inside, and white lacquer on the outside. The kitchen has a quartz worktop and is divided into three elements: a counter with two fridges and a TV compartment with a folding door, a hob with sink and dishwasher, and a wall unit with extractor hood, pantry and dish rack.

The guest bedroom has a large multi-functional built-in cupboard: it houses the washing machine, the boiler, the water-cooled condensing unit, a wardrobe and a small desk with a bookcase on top. The master bedroom has a bed with pull-out drawers, a headboard with back lighting and two bedside tables with drawers, storage and a bookcase. The walk-in wardrobe has a double sliding door system, an external one with symmetrically opening white lacquered doors and an internal one with individual doors that allow part of the wardrobe to be closed.

The apartment also benefits from a ground floor storeroom and access to a small communal garden.

The windows offer magnificent views of the Magazzini del Sale to the Doge’s Palace, passing by the Church of S. Maria della Salute, Punta della Dogana and the State Mint. The vaporetto (water bus) stops are just a few minutes away, providing fast connections to the city centre, Piazzale Roma and the railway station.
